Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a CNC Turner Machinist for a Cardiff workshop. You will set, program and operate CNC lathes, producing one-off and batch components for heavy industrial equipment, using Siemens Sinumerik ShopTurn software.

The role requires time-served machining experience, reading drawings, and precise measurement skills. Overtime available, 39 hours/week, with a pension and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Time-served Turner / Toolmaker with proven machining experience.
• Proficiency in operating and setting up CNC lathes.
• Experience programming Siemens Sinumerik ShopTurn software.
• Confident ability to read and interpret geometric engineering drawings.
• Experience with precision measurement techniques and inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC lathes to produce high-quality components.

• Interpret technical drawings and follow specifications accurately.

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and long-established engineering and fabrication company based in Cardiff for an experienced CNC Turner Machinist.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Siemens Sinumerik ShopTurn lathe programming.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the client's repair and servicing workshop, where you'll set, program and operate CNC lathes, producing one-off and batch components for heavy industrial equipment.

What We Offer

• £16.94 per hour (£34,354.32 per annum).
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays and Saturdays.

Hours of Work

• Monday to Thursday, 8am-4:30pm.
• Friday, 8am-3pm.
• 39 basic hours per week.
