Job summary

Swift Temps Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join its engineering team on a permanent basis. You will set up, program and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components, working with a range of parts and assemblies. This is an excellent long-term role with opportunities for development and overtime.

This position requires a strong eye for detail, the ability to read engineering drawings, and solid problem-solving skills to maintain high quality and meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Turner with setting and programming capabilities.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specs.
• Strong precision measurement and quality focus required.
• Good problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with drive for continuous improvement and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC lathes.
• Use CNC tooling and precision measurement equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Handle and protect manufactured components, fabricated parts and assemblies.
• Identify and resolve machining and production issues.
• Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail.
• Support continual improvement and changing production requirements.
