Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Workshop Engineer (Mechanical) for a well-established manufacturing site in West Bromwich. You will operate CNC Mills and Grinders to manufacture parts and tools, reading mechanical drawings and solving engineering challenges daily.

Working Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm (37 hours), with overtime opportunities to boost earnings. You will join a busy toolroom, repair and re-engineer tools and parts to improve efficiency, while contributing to ongoing

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings.
• Mechanical background with practical machining experience.

Responsibilities

• Using CNC Mills and Grinders to make parts and tools.
• Working from engineering drawings to spec parts and tools.
• Assisting with breakdowns, fault-finding and re-engineering tools when they fail.
• Taking things apart and engineering new solutions to improve performance.
• Overtime available to increase earnings.
