Job summary

Enterprise Recruitment Limited is seeking a CNC specialist for our Ely, UK site. You will work on multi-axis CNC lathes, helping to machine and assemble components that set industry standards. Based at a modern site with onsite facilities, you’ll contribute to quality-focused production and cross-functional projects.

You will load, set-up and operate sliding head CNC lathes, read drawings, optimise programs and collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure precision and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3 years of CNC experience in milling, turning or sliding head lathes.
• Able to work at micro-level precision reading engineering drawings.
• Apprenticeship trained or equivalent in CNC machining.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D and manufacturing with machining of new components.
• Load, set-up and operate sliding head CNC lathes to ensure component quality.
• Program optimisation and cross-department collaboration.

Job description

Shift Pattern: Mon-Thurs (6am-2:30mpm) – Fridays 6am-1pm)

We’re on the lookout for CNC specialists to join a global manufacturing leader with state-of-the-art facilities, based in Ely. you’ll be working out of a multistorey site, with an onsite canteen, entertainment spaces and direct train routes, assembling and packaging products which are considered the gold standards in their industry.

You’ll support R&D and manufacturing departments with the machining of new components. This is a quality focussed role, where you’ll load, set-up and operate sliding head CNC lathes, ensuring component quality, program optimisation and collaboration with different departments across the business.

What are we looking for?

• 3 Years experience in CNC: milling, turning or sliding head lathes
• Ability to work at micro-level precision
• Can read engineering drawings, and working knowledge of CAD/CAM systems
• Qualifications: Apprenticeship trained or similar
