Orion Electrotech Ltd. is seeking a skilled CNC Sliding Head Engineer to program, set and run multi-axis CNC Sliding Head machines, contributing to high-precision manufacturing in Surrey.

You will optimise existing programs and develop new jobs, ensuring tight tolerances through meticulous self-inspection. The role offers ongoing training, strong career development, a 39-hour week with shift options, and overtime paid at 1.5x.

Qualifications

• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC Sliding Head machines.
• Knowledge of CNC machining techniques, tooling and machining principles.
• Experience producing high-precision components to tight tolerances.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating multi-axis CNC Sliding Head machines.
• Adjusting and optimising existing CNC programs to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Programming new jobs both online and offline.
• Maintaining quality standards through self-inspection and machining to tight tolerances.
• Working collaboratively with production teams to achieve manufacturing targets.
