Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, performing milling and turning to high precision specifications.

Experience with HAAS and Hurco milling, Doosan turning/mill-turns with live tooling is preferred. You will read drawings, develop simple machining programs using OneCNC, and ensure quality through inspection and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC milling/turning experience.
• Ability to interpret drawings and 3D models.
• Experience with OneCNC programming is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines to perform milling and turning.
• Operate HAAS, Hurco milling and Doosan turning/mill-turn machines.
• Develop and adjust machining programs and tooling for complex parts.
• Inspect finished parts against drawings and specifications.
• Plan workloads and help meet production schedules.
• Maintain and report machine condition and tooling status.
• Support implementation of continuous improvement and process changes.

Job description

My client is an established manufacturing company who are expanding and extending their manufacturing facility. They are looking for a proven CNC machinist to join their team and carry out setting and operating of CNC machines performing milling and turning.

Responsibilities

• Experience of Milling and Turning, including: - HAAS and Hurco 3 axis milling.
• Doosan Turning and Mill-Turn machines with live tooling and sub spindle capability.
• Degree of hands on when required to prepare and operate CNC machines to perform milling and turning activities.
• Understand specifications, drawings and 3D models and able to support quotation analysis in securing new business.
• Ability to develop machining programs and tooling to produce complex parts and new designs using OneCNC.
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
• Workload planning and team management to meet agreed schedules.
• Material control including completion of works orders and use of computer system to report progress and job completion.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality and well maintained.
• Report and manage resolution of any machine malfunctions.
