Job summary

Pertemps West Bromwich is seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator for a manufacturing client in Wednesbury, West Midlands. You will set and operate CNC lathes, manufacture precision parts to customer drawings, and work closely with production and quality teams.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, using measuring equipment, and performing in-process checks to maintain tight tolerances. Hours are 39 per week with shifts 07:00-16:00 and 07:00-12:30 Fridays; pay ranges from £13.50 to

Qualifications

CNC setting and operating experience is essential.
Experience in manufacturing or precision engineering desirable.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Confident using measuring and inspection equipment.
Good understanding of quality requirements and tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

Set and operate CNC lathes safely and efficiently.
Manufacture precision parts and components to customer drawings and specifications.
Read, understand and interpret engineering drawings.
Use appropriate measuring equipment to ensure components meet required tolerances.
Carry out in-process quality checks and inspections.
Make machine adjustments to maintain product quality.
Operate multiple machines where required.
Work closely with the production and quality teams to ensure jobs are completed correctly and on time.
