Job summary

The Selection Partnership Ltd. is seeking a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator in West Bromwich, paying up to £22 per hour. The role operates on rotating shifts (6:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00) with weekly pay.

You will run CNC lathes, set up and changeovers, read drawings, and ensure quality first-offs. Experience with Haas or Dugard VMC is advantageous, and familiarity with MRP/production systems is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in setting and programming CNC lathes.
• Ideally knowledge of Haas or Dugard VMC (Fanuc controlled).
• Ability to understand and read technical drawings.
• Able to use engineering measuring equipment.
• Abrasive wheel regulations knowledge.
• UK-based with full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes to produce parts per build plan.
• Set up, tool changes and respond to machine breakdowns.
• Ensure first-offs are checked with Quality Dept. and recorded hourly checks.
• Ensure machines are set and running for the next shift; leave clear instructions.
