Job summary

Union Fasteners in Darlaston is seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join our production team. You will set up and operate CNC machines, read drawings, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances while maintaining safety.

This role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work across multiple machines, and collaboration with production and quality teams to deliver on time. Immediate start available with full-time permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in CNC operating and setting is essential.
• Experience in the manufacture of special fasteners is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Confident using measuring and inspection equipment.
• Previous product inspection experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to operate more than one machine.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Organised, focused and able to work accurately.
• A motivated individual with a positive “can-do” attitude.
• A reliable team player who can also work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently.
• Manufacture special fasteners and components to customer drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Use appropriate measuring equipment to ensure components meet required tolerances.
• Carry out in-process quality checks and inspections.
• Make machine adjustments where necessary to maintain product quality.
• Operate multiple machines where required.
• Work closely with the production and quality teams to ensure jobs are completed correctly and on time.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow all company quality, health & safety and manufacturing procedures.
