Job summary

Market 36 Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a CNC Operator for a client in Braintree on a Temp to Perm basis. You will operate CNC machinery, set up for production runs, read engineering drawings, measure finished components, and carry out routine maintenance.

This role requires accuracy, attention to detail and a strong commitment to health and safety standards. There are day and night shifts with shift allowances, and pay up to £17.00 per hour depending on experience, reflecting typical UK

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machinery in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, gauges).
• Good understanding of machining processes and quality standards.
• Attention to detail and ability to report faults.
• Reliable, punctual and a team player with good health & safety awareness.

Responsibilities

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a CNC Operator on behalf of our client based in Braintree on a Temp to Perm basis.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery to manufacture components to specification.
• Set up, load and operate CNC machines for production runs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and production instructions.
• Measure and inspect finished components using a range of measuring equipment.
• Make basic machine adjustments to ensure product quality and accuracy.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and report any faults or issues.
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Maintain accurate production records where required.
• Keep the work area clean, organised and compliant with Health & Safety regulations.
• Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure production deadlines are met.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist with other manufacturing or workshop duties when required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production department.
• Follow company procedures and safe working practices at all times.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers or gauges.
• Good understanding of machining processes and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to identify and report production or machine issues.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.

Working Pattern & Benefits
