Job summary

Market 36 Recruitment are recruiting for a CNC Operative to join our client's engineering and manufacturing team in Witham, Essex. You will operate CNC machinery and handle components to exacting tolerances.

The role requires reading drawings, using verniers and micrometers, and performing quality checks. You will work Monday to Friday, day shift, with overtime available. Reliability and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings.
• Proficient use of measurement tools for quality checks.
• Diligence with attention to detail in production processes.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Operating CNC machinery safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading components into CNC machines
• Following engineering drawings and work instructions
• Checking components meet required specificationsCarrying out basic machine adjustments where required
• Changing tools and assisting with tool changes
• Using measuring equipment including verniers and micrometers
• Completing quality checks throughout production
• Inspecting finished components using appropriate measuring equipment

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience operating CNC machinery
• Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail
• Experience using basic inspection equipment
• Good work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
