A leading engineering company in Torfaen is seeking skilled CNC Milling & Turning Setter/Operators for permanent positions. Successful candidates will set and run CNC machines, ensuring precision and adherence to engineering drawings. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits including overtime.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Salary: Competitive Salary, Depending on Experience.
Location: Pontypool, Torfaen, NP4.
Schedule: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 2.30pm and 7.30am to 2.30pm on Fridays – Overtime Available. 26 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
About The Role:
A busy, expanding Torfaen based engineering company require personnel who can set and run a variety of CNC machines and enhance the productivity of the company.
The successful candidates will preferably have experience using Fanuc and/or Mazatrol programming languages, have the ability to read engineering drawings and ensure that manufactured components are to drawing and of the required standard. If you are a skilled, experienced CNC Setter/Operator who can set without supervision, we encourage you to submit an application for these permanent positions.
Responsibilities Include:
·Prepare, set and operate CNC milling machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, Turning etc.
·Understand specifications of the task at hand and the required result by reading engineering drawings etc.
·Translate instructions into computer commands to enable the machines to perform the correct functions.
·Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
·Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
·Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
·Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
·Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Candidate Requirements:
·Experience as a CNC Setter/Operator.
·Skill in setting and operating CNC machinery, tooling and precision measurement tools.
·Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and drawings.
·Mechanical aptitude.
