As a CNC Setter/Operator on the day shift, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering precision parts to exacting standards. Responsibilities include:
Setting and operating CNC machines to manufacture high-accuracy components
Performing precision quality checks with advanced measuring tools
Maintaining tight tolerances (within +/- 5 microns)
Adhering to all health and safety procedures
Collaborating with a high-performing team to optimise productivity
Participating in continuous training and upskilling initiatives
Essential:
Understanding of machine tools and metric dimensions
Strong attention to detail and good near vision
Ability to work with fine tolerances and measurements
A reliable, team-oriented approach with clear communication skills
Desirable (but not required):
Previous experience in a machining or CNC-based role
Willingness to learn - full training is provided
Modern CNC machinery
High-specification metrology and measuring equipment
This is a day shift position, working a rotating 6-6 pattern:
Week 1: Five 12-hour day shifts
Week 2: Two 12-hour day shifts
This schedule offers more full days off across a two-week period, giving you greater flexibility and work-life balance.
