Job description

A growing business recognized as a world leader in its field of precision automation components is looking for a CNC Setter/Operator to join its team in Hertford. You will work 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 07:45 to 16:45, and Friday from 07:45 to 12:45.

The business has nearly 60 years of innovation and utilizes the most advanced materials, backed by extensive application experience.

As a CNC Setter/Operator, your responsibilities will include:

1. Setting and operating CNC machines.
2. Inspecting your own work to ensure quality.
3. Ensuring work is accurate, thorough, and neat.
4. Producing a significant volume of work efficiently within specified timeframes.
5. Demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making skills when necessary.

We are looking for a candidate who has:

• Basic experience in the role; turning experience is an advantage but training will be provided.
• Experience with cutting metal.
• The ability to work well as part of a team.
• Self-discipline and the ability to work independently.
• Education to GCSE standard or equivalent.

In return, you will receive a salary of £26,000 - £30,000 per annum.
