Job summary

We can SolviT Recruitment LTD in Wigston (LE18) is seeking an experienced CNC setter/operator to join a busy aerospace environment. You will start by setting and operating machines on days, learning how to set multi-axis CNC grinders over 1-2 years, with training paid initially at £15.70 per hour.

The role moves to rotating shifts with higher pay and overtime potential. Initial training lasts 2–4 weeks, then shift rotation includes days, afternoons and nights.

Qualifications

• Background as a CNC setter/operator on milling, turning or grinding machines with metal components.
• Willing to learn multi-axis CNC grinders and commit to rotating shifts.
• Able to accurately use micrometers and maintain tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery to produce high-end aerospace components.
• Learn and work on multi-axis CNC grinders during training and after.
• Maintain quality and dimensional accuracy with micrometric checks.

CNC Setter/Operator

Wigston (LE18)

£19p/hr (£15.70p/hr during initial training)

Urgent: Full Time

We are looking for experienced CNC setter/operators who are looking to expand their skills, learn new machines and can commit to a rotating shift within a busy and aerospace company in Wigston.

Initially you will be operating machinery, to produce high end intricate aerospace components, learning how to set multi axis CNC grinders over 1 - 2 years.

Shift Rotation

Days - Monday - Thursday 05:45 - 13:45 & Friday 05:45 - 10:45

Afternoon - Monday - Thursday 13:45 - 21:45 & Friday 10:45 - 15:45

Nights - Monday - Thursday 21:45 - 05:45 & Friday 15:45 - 20:45

To be considered

• As long as you have a background as a CNC setter/operator on either CNC milling, turning or grinding machines, working with metal components to tight tolerances then you will receive full training on multi axis CNC grinders.
• Your initial training is on fixed days (average 2 - 4 weeks), then moved to the rotating shift. While training you will be on £15.70 then once on rotating pattern moved up to £19.
• Able to accurately use micrometers, and be flexible enough to work the rotating shift pattern.
