Up to £ 45K per annum – based on experience and skill level
We are looking for a midlands based mechanically biased Machine Tool service engineer with service and repair experience on CNC and conventional machines. A great opportunity to join a team of experienced engineers that look after, maintain, overhaul and service equipment across a wide range of Aerospace, Automotive, Medical and oil/gas industries with Indramat, Fanuc, Siemens or Heidenhain controls.

Duties Include – Machine Tool Engineer /Service Technician:
• Attending customer site to repair and service machinery. Fault finding breakdowns, carry out alignments following machine collisions .
• Working on servo motors, lineal rails, ball screws, spindles etc.
• Majority of travel to customer sites is within a 60 miles radius of our base near Lichfield in Staffordshire.
Key Skills / Experience Required – Machine Tool Technician/Service Engineer:
• Able to fault find, repair and service metal cutting CNC and conventional machinery eg. Lathes, milling machines , borers, VTL’s and VMC’s etc…MUST have experience in these machines.
• Mechanical bias but with a good working understanding of electricals- e.g able to lock off and isolate a machine, disconnect a motor, check mechanical and proxy switch sensors.
• Experience/competence with Fanuc, Siemens or Heidenhain controls
• Hands-on mechanical skills e.g stripping and building machinery
• Good understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics and machine geometry
• Able to use and apply experience in adapting to new machinery
• Good experience with Mechanical machinery and qualification/apprenticeship trained.

• Starting salary of up to £45k per annum, depending on skill level and experience
