Job summary

Winsearch is recruiting an experienced Punch Press Operator in Ashton-under-Lyne to join the production team. You will set up and operate CNC punching machinery, loading tooling and reading engineering drawings to ensure on-spec output.

The role offers a continental day shift (4 on/4 off), 37 hours per week, and a pay range of £16.43–£17.10 per hour with a 20% shift premium. Experience with Trumpf or Salvagnini machines is advantageous, along with a commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC punch press equipment.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC punch press machines.
• Load, change, and adjust tooling as required.
• Work from engineering drawings and production paperwork.
• Monitor machine performance and output quality.
• Record production and quality information accurately.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
• Follow health, safety and quality procedures.
