Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced CNC Punch Press Operator in the Belliver area of Plymouth to join a large sheet metal manufacturer. The role is Monday to Friday, 3pm-11pm, with overtime and a performance bonus; the opportunity is temporary to permanent with genuine career progression.

Candidates must have proven CNC punch press experience, be able to read engineering drawings, and maintain high quality and safety standards in a modern manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating CNC punch press machinery.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working permanent late shifts.
• Mon-Fri, 3pm-11pm shift offered.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC punch press machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Set and adjust machine parameters as required.
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure components meet specification.
• Work to production targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
