Job summary

Tyler Bros Ltd is a Nottinghamshire-based specialist machining, fabrication and assembly business. We are seeking a CNC Engineer to set up, program and operate CNC milling or turning machines to deliver precision components to tight tolerances and customer specifications.

You will read engineering drawings and CAD/CAM data, select tooling and work-holding methods, and perform in-process inspection to ensure consistent quality. Health and safety and ISO 9001 standards underpin all activities.

Qualifications

CNC milling and turning experience and programming skills.
Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
Experience with CAD/CAM or offline programming tools.
Background in machining, fabrication or mechanical engineering.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards and inspection practices.

Responsibilities

Set up, program and operate CNC milling or turning machines to produce precision components to tight tolerances and customer specifications.
Interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM data for correct setups.
Select tooling and work-holding methods for efficient production.
Perform in-process inspection to ensure quality.
Monitor machine performance and adjust programs and offsets; perform basic maintenance.
Collaborate with engineering, production and quality teams for prototypes and production runs while following safety and quality standards.
