Job summary

Pertemps Black Country Perms is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join the production team in a permanent on-site role in the Dudley area. The role involves programming, setting and running CNC machines with a focus on precision components to strict tolerances.

You will work with FANUC/HURCO controls, read engineering drawings, and contribute to continuous improvement. Strong attention to detail and a solid manufacturing background are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' CNC programming experience.
• CNC Milling or CNC Turning (Lathe) experience preferred.
• Strong reading of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Good understanding of quality and precision manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC machinery.
• Prove out new programs and adjust as required.
• Optimize machining processes for efficiency and productivity.
• Work with FANUC, HURCO and similar CNC control systems.
• Read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.
• Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances.
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure standards.
• Support continuous improvement in production.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm | Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC machinery
• Prove out new programs and make adjustments where required
• Optimise machining processes to improve efficiency and productivity
• Work with FANUC, HURCO and similar CNC control systems
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure components meet required standards
• Support continuous improvement activities within the production environment
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to achieve production targets

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' CNC programming experience

• Ability to set, run and prove out programs independently
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
• Knowledge of FANUC, HURCO or similar control systems advantageous but not essential
