adi Group in Tyburn, Birmingham, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to run CNC machines and develop CAM programs for precision components. The role covers machine setup, programming, and inspection in a busy machine shop.

Key responsibilities include programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines, reading customer drawings, maintaining tolerances, and contributing to SOPs with engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC machining and CAM programming – Hurco and Edgecam preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams.
• Strong attention to detail with focus on quality and accuracy.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and prove CNC programs to produce consistently accurate parts.
• Set up and operate CNC machines for production runs, including manned and unmanned operation.
• Work from customer drawings and specifications, maintaining tight tolerances.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance checks and complete required records.
• Report tooling requirements and suggest tooling or process improvements.

Location – Tyburn, Birmingham

Hours - Day shift 7 am to 3:30 pm (Monday - Friday)

About The Role
