Job summary

adi Group is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to run CNC machines and develop CAM programs for precision components in a busy shop environment.

You will be responsible for machine setup, programming, inspection, and continuous improvement work practices on day shifts (7 am–3:30 pm, Mon–Fri) at Tyburn, Birmingham.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC machining and CAM programming.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and prove CNC programs to produce consistently accurate parts.
• Set up and operate CNC machines for production runs, including manned and unmanned operation.
• Work from customer drawings and specifications, maintaining tight tolerances.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance checks and complete required records.
• Report tooling requirements and suggest tooling or process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and production teams, providing input for SOPs.

Hours – Day shift 7 am to 3:30 pm (Monday – Friday)

About the Role
