Job summary

Precision are recruiting a CNC Programming & Production Planner in Leicestershire to manage steel stock, produce nesting programmes and coordinate prep activities across the group to keep production flowing safely and cost-effectively.

Read technical drawings, plan workloads, allocate prep resources, and liaise with Production Managers and Materials Handlers to meet daily targets and ensure material traceability. Experience with StruMIS or SigmaNEST is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience using StruMIS or similar manufacturing management system.
• Experience with SigmaNEST or similar CNC nesting software.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings.
• Strong planning, scheduling and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and an analytical, methodical approach.
• The ability to prioritise workloads and react quickly to changing production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage steel section and plate stock through StruMIS.
• Program steel section nesting using StruMIS and plate nesting using SigmaNEST.
• Issue CNC programmes to the Prep Department and track materials through the inventory system.
• Plan and schedule CNC machine workloads to ensure daily production requirements are met.
• Liaise with Production Managers and Materials Handlers to manage inventory and prep targets.
• Promote strong Health & Safety practices and ensure quality compliance.
