Job summary

Humber Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer/Operator to join a busy machine shop. You will program, set and operate CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision components.

Responsibilities include reading engineering drawings, selecting tooling, and conducting first-off and in-process inspections while maintaining safety and quality standards. A five-day week and permanent role are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls.
• Experience programming at the machine.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Competent in the use of measuring equipment (micrometres, verniers, gauges).

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls
• Manufacturing precision components to specifications and engineering drawings
• Producing a variety of different components
• Selecting tooling and optimising machining processes
• Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections
• Ensuring components are manufactured to the highest quality standards
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
