Job summary

Proslipsi is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join our precision engineering team in the UK. You will set and operate CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components from engineering drawings and customer specifications, ensuring tight tolerances and efficient production.

The role requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality. Expect overtime and opportunities for training and career development within a supportive workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Miller in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to edit and operate CNC milling machines independently.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of machining principles, cutting tools, and materials.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
• Strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards.
• Experience of Fanuc or Mazatrol controls.
• Apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Set, edit and operate CNC milling machines.
• Manufacture precision components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and work-holding equipment.
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure consistent product quality.
• Adjust machine offsets and tooling to optimise performance.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation.
• Identify and troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
• Confidence to work on various machines with appropriate training and support

The successful candidate will be responsible for settingand operating, CNC milling machines to manufacture high-quality components in accordance with engineering drawings and customer specifications. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
