Job summary

Roundhouse recruitment is seeking a CNC Programmer (Offline Programming / Multi-Axis) to join a precision engineering specialist. You will create offline CNC programs from customer drawings and 3D models, programming multi-axis machines and developing manufacturing processes.

The role offers progression to management, training, a competitive pension, and excellent benefits, with a Monday–Friday days schedule and a strong company backing. Experience with VERICUT is advantageous.

Qualifications

• CNC programming experience within precision engineering.
• Able to programme and prove complex multi-axis components.
• CAD/CAM programming experience.
• Experience machining tight tolerance components.
• Understanding of GD&T.
• Background in Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear, Marine, Oil & Gas or another high-precision environment.
• Mazak Integrex or mill-turn experience advantageous.
• VERICUT knowledge beneficial but not essential.
• Apprentice trained or engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Create offline CNC programs from customer drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Program, set and prove complex components on 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machining centres.
• Work with Mazak Integrex mill-turn machines using Mazak, Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
• Develop manufacturing process plans, routings, tooling and setup documentation.
• Design fixtures and produce supporting 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Improve existing programs and machining methods to reduce cycle times and improve quality.
