Job summary

Greaves 3D Engineering in Peterborough is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled CNC Machinist / Offline Programmer to join our team and contribute to high-precision engineering projects.

You will program, set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines, create and optimise offline programs, read CAD drawings, select tooling and machining strategies, and ensure quality while identifying improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC programming, setting, and operation.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Familiarity with tooling selection and machining strategies.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

What you'll be doing:

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling and turning machines
• Creating and optimising CNC programs using offline programming software
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models
• Selecting tooling and machining strategies for efficient production
• Inspecting precision components to ensure the highest quality standards
• Identifying process improvements to maximise efficiency
• Working closely with our team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions

What we're looking for:

• Proven CNC programming, setting, and operating experience
• Strong machining and manufacturing knowledge
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• HyperMILL experience is an advantage, but not essential.
