Job summary

WF Tech in Poole is recruiting a CNC Machinist / Programmer for Turner, Miller, or Grinder roles. The position is permanent, daytime hours, with a salary range of £38,000–£47,000 depending on experience.

The team works on high-spec components for aerospace, motorsport, nuclear and oil & gas sectors. The ideal candidate has experience in CNC turning, milling and/or grinding, with familiarity in Mazak, Fanuc or Fusion 360.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in CNC turning, milling and/or grinding.
• Experience with Mazak, Fanuc, Fusion 360 or similar systems beneficial.
• Experience with 4/5-axis machining or precision grinding advantageous.
• Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
• Experience working with aluminium and steels.
• Jones & Shipman, Okamoto or Kellenberger experience beneficial for grinding roles.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC machinery.
• CNC turning, milling and/or cylindrical & surface grinding.
• Working with aluminium and various steels.
• Producing small-to-medium batch components to tight tolerances of 10–25 microns.
• Self-inspection and maintaining ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Type: Permanent, Days
Hours: Mon–Thurs 7am–4pm, Fri 7am–12pm
Salary: £38,000–£47,000 DOE

We are recruiting for a well-established, family-run precision engineering company with 50+ years’ experience supplying high-spec sectors including aerospace, motorsport, nuclear and oil & gas.

We are looking for experienced CNC Turners, CNC Millers and/or Grinders to join a skilled, quality-focused team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC machinery

• CNC turning, milling and/or cylindrical & surface grinding

• Working with aluminium and various steels

• Producing small-to-medium batch components to tight tolerances of 10–25 microns

• Self-inspection and maintaining ISO 9001 quality standards

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
