Job summary
Xtrac Ltd is a world-leading designer and manufacturer of specialist transmissions for top motorsport series. We are seeking a CNC Turning Programmer to create part programs using EdgeCAM, simulate with Vericut, and help design tooling and fixtures to meet our exacting quality standards.
You will collaborate with Production Engineering and provide manufacturing advice while working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CNC Turning programming and setup.
- Experience with work-holding and tooling selection.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Design and manufacture of work-holding fixtures and devices.
Responsibilities
- Produce part programs using EdgeCAM.
- Run machine simulations with Vericut to estimate run-times and avoid collisions.
- Assist Production Engineering with manufacturing methods and tooling needs.
- Develop fixtures and devices for efficient manufacturing.
- Provide manufacturing input to Engineers and review drawings for tooling requirements.
