Vivo Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC 5-Axis Machinist / Setter Operator in Gloucester to programme, set and run Mazak VARIAXIS J500/J600 machines, delivering high-precision components to exacting standards.

You will read drawings, perform tool changes and offsets, conduct first-off and in-process inspections, and collaborate with production, quality and engineering teams to maintain efficiency and quality. Immediate start available with a day shift and overtime opportunities.

Formación

• Experience setting and operating 5-axis CNC centres.
• Proficiency with Mazak machinery and Mazatrol controls preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong commitment to precision and quality.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Location: Gloucester

Salary: £48,000 per annum (Permanent)

Shift: Day Shift & Overtime Available

Start Date: ASAP

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC 5-Axis Machinist / Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Gloucester.

Working with Mazak VARIAXIS J500 and J600 5-axis machining centres, you will be responsible for setting, operating and optimising machining processes to produce high-precision components to exacting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate Mazak VARIAXIS J500 and J600 machining centres


• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications


• Perform tool changes, offsets and machine adjustments


• Produce components to tight tolerances and quality standards


• Conduct first-off and in-process inspections

Requirements
