Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator for a permanent role in Chessington, Surrey. You will set and operate 5-axis machining centres, ensuring tight tolerances and high-quality components for aerospace, automotive, and general engineering. The hours are Mon-Thu 8:00–17:00 with early finish on Fridays (12:00).

Salary range £35,500–£47,500 with annual bonus and benefits. You should have experience setting and operating 5-axis machines and read engineering drawings;

£35,500 - £47,500

Are you a 5-Axis Setter / Operator, CNC Machinist or CNC Programmer/Setter with experience in precision engineering, looking for a stable role with excellent earning potential and a great work-life balance?

This is a permanent opportunity with a well-established precision engineering business supplying high-quality components into aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, nuclear and general engineering.

You will join a modern machine shop, setting and operating 5-axis machining centres to manufacture precision components to tight tolerances and high quality standards.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

• Setting and operating 5-axis machining centres
• Working with Mazak Integrex and DMG Mori machines
• Producing precision components from engineering drawings
• Selecting tooling and workholding equipment
• Carrying out in-process quality checks
• Working to tight tolerances and maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Following ISO 9001, AS9100 and Health & Safety requirements

The Person:

• Experience setting and operating 5-axis CNC machines
• Experience with Mazak Integrex or DMG Mori is advantageous
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Self-motivated and able to work independently

The salary advertised is the bracket available for this position. The actual salary paid will be dependent on your level of experience, qualifications and skill set and will be decided by our client, the employer.
