Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a CNC Programmer - SolidCAM to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract near Redditch. The role operates in an Aerospace environment, with 39 hours per week and a schedule that runs Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm and Friday 7.30am-12.30pm.

The successful candidate will own parts and processes from design to manufacture and delivery, collaborating with design and shop floor teams to ensure efficient project execution and on-time completion.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC programming and operating CNC machinery in an aerospace environment.
• Familiarity with SolidCAM software and multi-axis machining techniques.
• Ability to work on project-based assignments from design through to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own parts and processes from design to manufacture and delivery to customers in a projects-focused role.
• Collaborate with design and shop floor teams to ensure projects run efficiently and meet milestones.

Overview

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, we now require a CNC Programmer to join the team. You will be part of the Projects team employed on a 12 month fixed term contract to help with a large influx in work.

The role will involved owning the parts and process from design to manufacture and to delivery to the customer - this is a projects focused role where you will be working closely with the design and shop floor teams to ensure the project is ran efficiently.

The ideal candidate / CNC Programmer may have some of the following experiences, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually

• Previously worked with SolidCAM
• Previously knowledge of some of the following processes - CNC Machining, EDM Machining, Multi axis laser, welding or forming metals with hydraulics presses
• A confident communicator due to the nature of the projects focused dutiesCommutable from:
• Redditch, Alcester, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Coventry, Worcester, Birmingham and surrounding areas.
