Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a CNC Programmer - SolidCAM near Redditch in an aerospace environment. This 12-month FTC role involves owning parts and processes from design to manufacture and delivery to the customer, with close collaboration across design and shop floor teams to keep projects on track.

Experience with SolidCAM is preferred, along with knowledge of CNC machining, EDM, multi-axis laser, welding or hydraulic press forming.

Qualifications

• Experience with SolidCAM is preferred.
• Knowledge of CNC Machining, EDM, multi-axis laser, welding or forming metals with hydraulic presses is desirable.
• Strong communication due to project-focused duties.

Responsibilities

Location: near Redditch

Hours: Monday to Thursday (7.30am - 4.30pm) Friday (7.30am - 12.30pm) - 39 hours per week

Overview

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, we now require a CNC Programmer to join the team. You will be part of the Projects team employed on a 12 month fixed term contract to help with a large influx in work.

The role will involved owning the parts and process from design to manufacture and to delivery to the customer - this is a projects focused role where you will be working closely with the design and shop floor teams to ensure the project is ran efficiently.

The ideal candidate / CNC Programmer may have some of the following experiences, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually

• Previously worked with SolidCAM
• Previously knowledge of some of the following processes - CNC Machining, EDM Machining, Multi axis laser, welding or forming metals with hydraulics presses
• A confident communicator due to the nature of the projects focused dutiesCommutable from:
• Redditch, Alcester, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Coventry, Worcester, Birmingham and surrounding areas.
