The role offers technically challenging work, ownership of machining processes, and development within a growing business.

You will program, simulate and optimise CNC machining across 3-, 4- and 5-axis operations, read engineering drawings to tight tolerances, and collaborate with production to sustain quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC programming experience, including 3-, 4- or 5-axis machining.
• Experience with offline and online programming.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of precision machining and tolerances.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and own tasks.
• Experience in regulated/high-integrity manufacturing is advantageous.

CNC Programmer

Location: Nottinghamshire

Salary: Circa £40,000+ depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am-4:30pm; Friday, 7:30am-1:30pm

The Role

As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, supporting and developing CNC machining processes.

Working closely with the production team, you will help ensure complex precision components are manufactured efficiently and consistently to demanding quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Creating and developing CNC programs
• Completing both offline and online programming
• Supporting CNC setting and machining activities
• Working with 3, 4 and 5-axis machining processes
• Producing complex precision components to tight tolerances
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Supporting the development of machining processes
• Working closely with the production team to maintain quality standards
• Assisting and developing colleagues where required
• Contributing to continuous improvement activities

Candidate Requirements

• Strong CNC programming experience
• Experience with both offline and online programming
• Good CNC setting and machining knowledge
• Experience with 3, 4 or 5-axis machining
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong understanding of precision machining and quality requirementsExperience producing complex components to demanding tolerances
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of your work
• A proactive and supportive approach to teamworkExperience within nuclear, defence, aerospace, oil and gas or another high-integrity engineering environment would be highly advantageous.
• Previous experience working with specialist materials or within regulated manufacturing supply chains would also be beneficial.
