Job summary

CNC Programmer (Sheet Metal) role based south of Warrington. The employer offers £40,000 - £47,500, 33 holidays, pension, life assurance and a lunchtime finish on Fridays. Monday to Friday, 38 hours, no shift work, and a strong focus on work-life balance.

Applicants should have proven CNC programming experience for laser cutting and punching in a sheet metal environment, with knowledge of RADAN, SigmaNEST or JETCAM to optimise nests and ensure production-ready programs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Produce and optimise CNC programs for laser cutting and punching machines using RADAN.
• Create efficient nests to maximise material utilisation and minimise waste.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files and customer specifications.
• Maintain libraries and databases to ensure programming consistency and accuracy.
• Ensure all programs are production-ready and meet quality requirements.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and improve machine utilisation.
• Troubleshoot programming and production issues to minimise downtime.

CNC Programmer (Sheet Metal)

Based South of Warrington, my client is a leading sheet metal manufacturing company who are market leaders in their field. They rarely recruit due to their excellent work environment, on offer is a salary of £40,000 - £47,500, 33 holidays, pension, life assurance and an early finish at lunchtime every Friday. This is a Monday to Friday (38 hr week) based position with no shift work.

To be considered you must have proven experience programming CNC laser cutting AND/OR punching machines within a sheet metal manufacturing environment and strong working knowledge of sheet metal software i.e. RADAN, SigmaNEST or JETCAM.

CNC Programmer (RADAN)

• Produce and optimise CNC programs for laser cutting and punching machines using sheet metal software (RADAN).
• Create efficient nests to maximise material utilisation and minimise waste.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files and customer specifications.
• Maintain and develop the part libraries, tooling libraries and manufacturing database to ensure programming consistency, accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure all programs are production-ready and meet quality requirements.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times, improve machine utilisation and enhance production processes.
• Troubleshoot programming and production issues to minimise downtime.
