Job summary

South of Warrington-based manufacturing company seeks a CNC Programmer to work on sheet metal laser cutting and punching. You will program using RADAN, SigmaNEST or JETCAM, read engineering drawings, and optimise nests to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Offering £40,000 - £47,500, 33 holidays, pension, life assurance and a Friday lunchtime finish. Monday to Friday, 38 hours, no shift work, with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming CNC laser cutting and/or punching machines in a sheet metal environment.
• Strong working knowledge of sheet metal software such as RADAN, SigmaNEST or JETCAM.

Responsibilities

• Produce and optimise CNC programs for laser cutting and punching machines using sheet metal software (RADAN).
• Create efficient nests to maximise material utilisation and minimise waste.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files and customer specifications.
• Maintain part and tooling libraries and manufacturing databases for consistency and efficiency.
• Ensure programs are production-ready and meet quality requirements.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and improve machine utilisation.
• Troubleshoot programming and production issues to minimise downtime.

CNC Programmer (Sheet Metal)

Based South of Warrington, my client is a leading sheet metal manufacturing company who are market leaders in their field. They rarely recruit due to their excellent work environment, on offer is a salary of £40,000 - £47,500, 33 holidays, pension, life assurance and an early finish at lunchtime every Friday. This is a Monday to Friday (38 hr week) based position with no shift work.

To be considered you must have proven experience programming CNC laser cutting AND/OR punching machines within a sheet metal manufacturing environment and strong working knowledge of sheet metal software i.e. RADAN, SigmaNEST or JETCAM.

CNC Programmer (RADAN)
