Job summary

C-Tech Recruitment is seeking a CNC Programmer (Sheet Metal) based south of Warrington. You will produce and optimise CNC programs for laser cutting and punching, reading engineering drawings and customer specifications.

You will create efficient nests to maximise material utilisation, maintain tooling and part libraries, and ensure production-ready programs that meet quality targets. Monday to Friday, 38 hours, with no shift work and a strong focus on work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming CNC laser cutting and/or punching in sheet metal environments
• Strong working knowledge of sheet metal software (RADAN, SigmaNEST or JETCAM)

Responsibilities

• Produce and optimise CNC programs for laser cutting and punching
• Create efficient nests to maximise material utilisation and minimise waste
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files and customer specifications
• Maintain part and tooling libraries for programming consistency
• Ensure all programs are production-ready and meet quality requirements
• Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and improve machine utilisation
• Troubleshoot programming and production issues to minimise downtime

CNC Programmer (Sheet Metal)

Based south of Warrington, my client is a leading sheet metal manufacturing company who are market leaders in the oil and gas industry. They rarely recruit due to their excellent work environment, and they are seeking to hire a CNC Programmer to be responsible for producing efficient CNC programs, optimising material utilisation through effective nesting, improving manufacturing processes and supporting production to achieve the highest standards of quality, productivity and on-time delivery.

To be considered you must have proven experience programming CNC laser cutting AND/OR punching machines within a sheet metal manufacturing environment and strong working knowledge of sheet metal software i.e. RADAN, SigmaNEST or JETCAM.
