Job summary

C-Tech Recruitment is representing a leading sheet metal manufacturer south of Warrington. The role focuses on CNC programming for laser cutting and punching, with emphasis on optimisation and quality.

You will read drawings, create efficient nests, and manage libraries to ensure production efficiency and accuracy. On offer is a strong package with good work–life balance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming CNC laser cutting and/or punching machines in sheet metal environments.
• Strong knowledge of RADAN, SigmaNEST or JETCAM software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD data.
• Maintain libraries and tooling data to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Produce and optimise CNC programs for laser cutting and punching machines using sheet metal software (RADAN).
• Create efficient nests to maximise material utilisation and minimise waste.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files and customer specifications.
• Maintain and develop part and tooling libraries and the manufacturing database.
• Ensure all programs are production-ready and meet quality requirements.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and improve machine utilisation.
• Troubleshoot programming and production issues to minimise downtime.

CNC Programmer (Sheet Metal)

Based South of Warrington, my client is a leading sheet metal manufacturing company who are market leaders in their field. They rarely recruit due to their excellent work environment, on offer is a salary of £40,000 - £47,500, 33 holidays, pension, life assurance and an early finish at lunchtime every Friday. This is a Monday to Friday (38 hr week) based position with no shift work.

To be considered you must have proven experience programming CNC laser cutting AND/OR punching machines within a sheet metal manufacturing environment and strong working knowledge of sheet metal software i.e. RADAN, SigmaNEST or JETCAM.

CNC Programmer (RADAN)
