Our client, a prominent F1 company located in Northampton, is seeking to recruit a CNC Programmer / Offline Programmer.

Hours and Compensation

Hours: 40 hours per week, 08:00 - 16:30, with overtime depending on work schedule.

Salary: Dependent on experience.

The Role

The role involves producing offline CNC programs using Delcam Power Mill, creating setting sheets, providing general engineering support, and designing 3 and 5 axis cutter paths for patterns, moulds, and carbon components for the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 3-axis, 3+2, and 5-axis cutter paths; verify cutter paths; post to NC programs.
• Develop method sheets, tooling sheets, setting sheets, and process drawings, as well as jig and fixture drawings.
• Ensure all routings are accurate, clear, and up-to-date.
• Design jigs and fixtures using Delcam PowerShape.
• Use Vericut to check for collisions and ensure safety and accuracy.
• Possess a strong engineering background, including experience with precision machining and handling low volume, high-value complex components.
• Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in offline programming of CNC milling machines using Delcam or equivalent software.
• Maintain a working knowledge of engineering materials and their processing.
• Demonstrate flexibility and a proactive attitude towards all tasks.
• Be an effective team player and communicator.
