Job Description

A CADCAM Programmer is required to join a Coventry-based OEM. You will work within Design Modelling operations, contributing to the design and development of new vehicle concepts, including early phase definition of next-generation electric vehicles. The role involves developing and improving a world-class UK design operation.

Responsibilities

• Produce master milled models from various materials, including full-size clay models, 40% models, hard foam, and others, based on data from Design and Engineering.
• Use software to produce NC Toolpaths for CNC machines, with hands-on use of hand tools and understanding of model material properties.
• Assist in manufacturing armatures/models and in clay loading and recycling.
• Perform basic maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure continuous operation to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualifications.
• Experience in producing NC Toolpaths using recognized software.
• Knowledge of machine controls and ability to set up 3 and 5 Axis CNC Milling Machines.
• Proficient in IT and able to work independently.
• Reliable, flexible, with a positive work attitude.
