Job summary

Morgan Ryder Associates is seeking an experienced CNC Manufacturing Engineer in Lymington to support and enhance manufacturing operations. You will program, set up, and prove CNC programs on 3, 4, and 5-axis machines, while driving continuous improvement and best-practice manufacturing standards.

You will develop efficient production methods, support shop-floor operations, ensure quality, reliability and customer satisfaction, and collaborate closely with Engineering, Production and Quality

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained background or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience programming, setting, and operating 3, 4, and 5-axis Mill/Turn machines.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to interpret drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide CNC programming solutions using drawings and 3D models.
• Set up and prove CNC programs on 3, 4 and 5-axis machines to production standards.
• Create detailed manufacturing process plans, routings, and ERP data loads.
• Produce shop-floor documentation including tooling lists, fixtures, gauges and set-up sheets.
• Review existing CNC programs and methods to identify improvements.
• Develop and implement best practices to improve capacity, quality and reliability.
• Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, implement solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Shop-Floor teams to support manufacturing.
• Mentor others where appropriate.
• Carry out additional tasks as directed by Engineering Manager.
