Job summary

M-Tec Engineering Solutions is seeking a CNC Process Engineer to join its high-volume manufacturing facility, focusing on aluminium diecast components machined on high-speed 5-axis machines. You will provide daily production support from the site.

You will monitor machine performance, fault finding and diagnostics, manage tool life, offsets and process capability while developing documentation and setting standards. A formal apprenticeship or college certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC programming and setting experience in a production environment.
• Experience machining aluminium diecast components on high-speed 5-axis machines.
• Apprentice served or formal college certification required.

Responsibilities

• Support production on a daily basis.
• Monitor tool life, change tools and investigate tool breakages.
• Maintain hydraulic fixture operation, clamping repeatability and machining position to casting.
• Set procedures and standards; drive TPM and 5S.
• Train, mentor and guide others on safe and correct operation of equipment.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and assist in generating SWIs.

Job description

A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a CNC Process Engineer.

As CNC Engineer, you will have a proven track record and experience in machining aluminium diecast components on high speed 5 axis machines.

Working from their manufacturing facility, the CNC Process Engineer will be responsible for:

• Support production on a daily basis.
• Competent in running CNC's and all aspects of the machine performance, fault finding and diagnostics.
• Maintain hydraulic fixture operation, clamping repeatability and machining position to casting.
• Change tools, track tool life, investigate tool breakages.
• Monitor part quality, adjust offsets and improve process capability.
• Develop and maintain process documentation as well as assist in the generation of SWI's.
• Set procedures and standards
• Drive TPM and 5S
• Train, mentor and guide others on how to operate equipment safely and correctly
• Other related duties as determined by the Process Engineering Manager or Process Engineers.

The successful candidate should be apprentice served or have a formal college certification and proven CNC machine programmning and setting in production environment.
