M‑Tec Engineering Solutions in Shropshire is seeking a CNC Technician to support production, run CNC machines, and improve process capability. The role focuses on machine setting, tool life tracking and maintaining alignment to casting, with emphasis on safety and disciplined TPM/5S practices.

The successful candidate will have an Apprenticeship or formal qualification and proven CNC setting experience, and will contribute to process documentation and SOP development.

• Experience with CNC machines and setting
• Ability to monitor and adjust part quality and offsets
• Experience developing process documentation and SOPs

Responsabilités

• Support production on a daily basis
• Run CNC machines and handle machine performance, fault finding and diagnostics
• Maintain hydraulic fixtures, clamping repeatability and machining position to casting
• Change tools, track tool life, investigate tool breakages
• Monitor part quality, adjust offsets and improve process capability
• Develop and maintain process documentation and assist in generating SWIs
• Set procedures and standards
• Drive TPM and 5S
• Train and mentor others on safe operation of equipment
• Perform related duties as directed by Process Engineering Manager or Engineers
• Promote HSE policies across the department and plant

CNC Technician - Double Days

A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a CNC Technician

Working from their manufacturing facility in Shropshire, the CNC Technician will be responsible for:

• Support production on a daily basis.
• Competent in running CNC's and all aspects of the machine performance, fault finding and diagnostics.
• Maintain hydraulic fixture operation, clamping repeatability and machining position to casting.
• Change tools, track tool life, investigate tool breakages.
• Monitor part quality, adjust offsets and improve process capability.
• Develop and maintain process documentation as well as assist in the generation of SWI's.
• Set procedures and standards
• Drive TPM and 5S
• Train, mentor and guide others on how to operate equipment safely and correctly
• Other related duties as determined by the Process Engineering Manager or Process Engineers.
• Promote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant

The successful candidate should have a minimum of an Apprenticeship or formal qualification and proven experience in CNC machine setting.
