Job summary

Kinetic plc is seeking a CNC Press Brake Setter Operator in Sheffield, England. The role involves setting and operating Bystronic press brake machinery from engineering drawings, ensuring high-quality, accurate components for multiple sectors.

Typical shifts include morning/afternoon rotations or fixed nights, with pay rates of £15.70–£16.97 per hour. Permanent opportunities follow temporary placements in a long-established engineering environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a press brake or similar engineering environment.
Prior Bystronic CNC Press Brake experience is essential.
Apprentice-trained or time-served engineering experience is considered.
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate Bystronic press brake machinery.
Programme components from engineering drawings.
Read and interpret flat profile engineering drawings and development lengths.
Produce components to required tolerances and quality standards.
Inspection – complete dimensional checks using measuring tools.
Edit programmes where needed (editing/programming abilities a bonus).
Identify and resolve issues during production with emphasis on health and safety.
Support other operators and share knowledge when required.
