Job summary

Kinetic plc in Preston is seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator for a permanent role. You will set, program and operate Trumpf or equivalent machinery, interpreting engineering drawings and selecting tooling to produce high‑quality folded components.

You will monitor tooling, assist efficient use of plant, and identify process improvements while ensuring safe operation. Salary is circa £30,000 depending on experience, with a Mon–Fri day shift.

Qualifications

• Experience using Trumpf or equivalent machinery.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and select appropriate tooling.
• Produce quality folded components from programmes, drawings and data supplied.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality folded components to a high standard consistently from programmes, drawings and data supplied.
• Assist in the efficient use of plant and tooling within the Press Brake section.
• Identify and solve problems before folding operations commence and report all such instances.
• Identify any order shortages before folding operations commence.
• Suggest improvements to the production process and procedure to maintain the highest standards.
• Monitor the safe use of all machines and tooling within the folding section.
• Monitor the condition of all hand tools and measuring equipment within the department.
