Job summary

TipTopJob Nottingham is seeking an experienced Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our fabrication team on a permanent basis. You will set up and run CNC press brake machines from engineering drawings to produce precision sheet metal components.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with Amada, Bystronic or Trumpf equipment, read drawings, select tooling and maintain tight tolerances. This role offers competitive pay and long‑term stability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience setting and operating CNC press brake machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience selecting tooling and adjusting machine settings.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC press brake machinery.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Select tooling and machine settings for each production run.
• Carry out first off inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Use measuring equipment to inspect finished parts.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Work to production schedules and productivity targets.
• Report any quality concerns, tooling issues or machine faults.
