Job summary

Metal Precision UK Limited is seeking an Experienced Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team in Corsham. You will set up, operate, and maintain our Amada 5-axis press brake to produce precision sheet metal components from raw material through final inspection.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating press brakes to tight tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate press brake machine according to job specifications, ensuring accurate bends and formations to fine tolerances.
• Operate press brakes safely and efficiently to produce high-quality sheet metal parts.
• Load and unload sheet materials, checking correct grades and thicknesses.
• Adjust tooling and die configurations based on project requirements, utilizing hand tools and basic math skills.
• Inspect finished parts for quality, dimensions, and adherence to specifications, using measuring equipment including verniers, protractors and engineers’ squares.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press brake equipment to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders to determine proper setup procedures.
• Complete quality control checks and documentation throughout the manufacturing process.
• Assist with fabrication processes such as grinding, welding, and assembly when necessary to support production goals
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
