Job summary

Baltic Recruitment Services Ltd in Ferryhill seeks a Press Brake General Operator to join a metal forming team. You will operate CNC press brake machinery, read drawings, set bend allowances, and ensure parts meet specifications with high quality and safety standards.

The role starts on day shift with potential 2-shift rotation; 38.5 hours per week, with overtime and benefits. Experience in manufacturing or engineering preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions and specifications.
• Solid understanding of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate press brake and associated metal forming machinery.
• Configure bend allowances for various materials (stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel).
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and job instructions.
• Load and unload components to/from machinery efficiently and safely.
• Create and modify multi-fold programs to ensure parts meet drawing requirements.
• Select punches, dies, and tooling based on material specs and design radii.
• Use precision measurement tools to verify product accuracy.
• Maintain high quality, productivity and safety standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within production.
