Job summary

Digital Garage specializes in bespoke furniture production for the television, broadcast and production industries. We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator & Cabinet Maker for a 3-month fixed-term contract in Banbury.

You will fabricate high-quality pieces from wood and sheet materials, reading technical drawings and employing metalwork where required. You will join a small, close-knit fabrication team at Vantage Business Park, with a view to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing bespoke and production furniture and cabinetry to a high standard.
• Previous experience operating a CNC flatbed router in a production/workshop environment.
• Skills working with wood, sheet materials, and some metalwork.
• Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings.
• Proven hand skills - working with wood, sheet materials, and some metalwork.
• Experience using large workshop machines such as press machine, table saws, crosscut saws, surface planer and thicknesser, spindle moulder.
• Proven sanding and finishing techniques skills.
• Great work ethic
• City and Guilds, BTEC, Apprenticeship time served or equivalent in furniture making - desirable
• Able to get to our workshop at Vantage Business Park, Bloxham near Banbury.

Responsibilities

• Create bespoke products for creative media applications for espor ts arenas, podcasts desks, and studios.
• Join the fabrications team on a 3-month contract and contribute to high-quality manufacturing.
• Operate CNC router and other workshop machinery safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet exacting design specifications and timelines.

The opportunity

Due to continued business growth, we are looking for someone to join our fabrications team on a 3 month fixed term contract. You would be creating bespoke products for creative media applications - such as esports arenas, podcast desks, bespoke products for recording studios, edit suites, production galleries, dubbing theatres, television and film studios. We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator & Cabinet Maker to join the team with the potential to become a permanent position.

The deal

• Hourly rate £15 - £20 phr DOE
• Hours of work: 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday [42.5 hrs/week]
