Job summary

Omega Resource Group in Bristol are recruiting for CNC Operator roles to operate CNC milling or turning machines, machining precision components and supporting a busy manufacturing environment.

The successful candidates will run machines, check parts for quality with micrometers and gauges, monitor operations and perform routine maintenance, while collaborating with the team to optimise production processes. These 37-hour weeks include a double day shift, with a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC milling or turning machines.
• Ability to use measuring tools.
• Ideally experience working to technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling or turning machines to produce precision components.
• Run and monitor machines to ensure smooth workflow.
• Use micrometers, gauges and verniers for quality checks on parts.
• Monitor cutting conditions and adjust as needed for tolerance.
• Perform routine maintenance to preserve machine performance.
• Collaborate with team to optimise production processes.

About the Role

We are now seeking to recruit 4 CNC machine operators to work for a busy precision engineering company based in Bristol. The appropriate candidate would be responsible for operating CNC milling or turning machines, machining precision components

Responsibilities

• Operating CNC milling or turning machines
• Running the machines
• Checking of the quality of machined parts using micrometres, gauges, and verniers
• Monitor operations and troubleshoot cutting conditions
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes

Requirements

• Previous experience in operating CNC milling or turning machines
• Ability to use measuring tools
• Ideally previous experience of working to technical drawings
• Flexibility to work rotating shift pattern and overtime when required
